Recovering from the Physical and Emotional Aspects of Childbirth
Join us for a unique integration of postpartum physiotherapy and clinical counselling!
This workshop is for new and not-so-new moms who have experienced physical and emotional challenges following childbirth. Partners are welcome to register and attend as well. We will be looking at the connection between physical and mental health, including:
- Pelvic floor and postpartum health issues following childbirth
- Coping with the expectations versus reality of your birth experience and recovery
- Processing the emotional experience of giving birth and the changes to your body
- Recovering from a stressful or traumatic birth
Helping Preschool Kids Find Calm: Tools for Coping with Anxiety
This workshop is for parents and educators (ECEs, ECEAs, daycare and preschool staff) of preschool age children, ages 2-6. We will look at the causes and signs of anxiety in young children and explore coping strategies for helping kids navigate worries and fears. In addition, workshop participants will receive a comprehensive anxiety resource guide (PDF via e-mail).
Helping Kids Cope with Aggressive Behaviour and Bullying
When your child is being targeted or is experiencing aggressive behaviour from other children, what tools can you give them to cope and build resilience? How can parents create an environment of compassion and kindness? Join Calm Kids for a workshop on helping kids develop the skills to deal with aggression, teasing, and bullying.
